About Wallasey
The CH postcode area, also known as the Chester postcode area, is a group of postal districts near the England/Wales border. Having previously covered part of present-day Chester district and present-day Flintshire county , postcodes for the Wirral were transferred to it in 1999[3]. It includes Birkenhead, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Neston, Prenton and Wallasey in England and Bagillt, Buckley, Connah's Quay, Flint, Holywell and Mold in Wales.
Wallasey is a large town within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, in Merseyside, England, on the mouth of the River Mersey, at the northeastern corner of the Wirral Peninsula.
Wallasey Village is a district of the town of Wallasey, on the Wirral Peninsula in England. Localities within this area are informally said to be in "The Village".
Wallasey Village is the most westerly township in Wallasey, being bordered with the districts of Poulton, New Brighton and Liscard to the east and south. Further west is Leasowe, and to the north, beyond Harrison Park, is Liverpool Bay
Wallasey Village has a mixture of popular mostly 20th century semi-detached and detached housing, a pleasant shopping street, with a floral roundabout in the centre. St Hilary’s church is an ancient foundation; the old tower is all that remains of a 1530 church building which burned down in 1857. There are two railway stations, Wallasey Village and Wallasey Grove Road. At the north end of Wallasey Village, the main street leads to the promenade and coastal park, and two golf courses. The promenade passes here, running from the 'Gunsite' around to Seacombe, a total of over 7 miles.
