There are two secondary schools in Mirfield: Mirfield Free Grammar and Sixth Form and Castle Hall School. Amongst the primary schools there are Battyeford, Crossley Fields (formerly Wellhouse), Old Bank and Hopton J, I and N school and Crowlees Junior and Infant School.
